This is the biggest bull
elk I have seen all year.

During the rutting season
this would be way to close
for comfort.

For the BigHorns they are
in the rut. But no head
butting yet. Maybe next
week.

Washout at Moraine Like

Leaving my car at 5:30am, and heading
up what is known as"Rockpile" in
the pitch dark, thinking I might be
the first person at the lookout at
"Moraine Lake" only to find ten
other photographers from around
the world.

This is a 30 second exposure in total darkness
and pouring rain. Rainout and heading for
cover.

Rutting Elk

This large herd bull has
marked his spot by creating
a scrape with this small
spruce tree.

During this shot sequence
a smaller bull showed up,
but wanted nothing to do
with this big guy.

Falls in the Fall

This is Rearguard Falls, near Mt.Robson.The power of water and time
has worn down and polished the rocks as smooth as glass.
